Stephen Miller is a Point Cloud Library developer, a Scientist for the Open Perception foundation, and a current graduate student at Stanford University. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley in 2011. While at Berkeley Stephen focused primarily on applied robotics, teaching a surgical robot to tie sutures and the Willow Garage PR2 to fold laundry. At Stanford he concentrates on 3D perception, particularly reconstruction and object recognition. He is the recipient of the Stanford Graduate Fellowship, National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, and Hertz Foundation Google Fellowship.
